Our Why

There are many reasons why we created this blog, but here are the top three:

We want to document our family adventures for our girls to read when they're older.
We want to inspire others to make their own adventures happen, no matter what their kids abilities are.
To remind ourselves that no matter how the adventure turned out, we're always glad that we did it.

Jan & Emily (AKA Dad & Mom)

Jan and I met in 2008 and married three months after we started dating. When you know, you know! We both work full time with limited time off - so when we get that time, we try to make the most of it!

Fun fact: we were both in Bangkok at the same time in 2004 and didn't know each other, but always wonder what would have happened if our paths crossed in Thailand!

Lainey

Lainey is a smart kid with an adventurous spirit. She is kind-hearted, sensitive, and is good at making people laugh. She loves her independence and can navigate an airport with the best of them. Lainey wants to be a YouTuber when she grows up.

Lucy

There is a lot of personality stuffed into this little body. Lucy loves dancing, chocolate, and connecting with people. Lucy was born with Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that results in developmental delays, health issues, and a seriously infectious smile. Maui

Maui is our bernedoodle. He's half bernese mountain dog and half standard poodle. His personality is a cross of Tigger and Animal and we wouldn't change a thing about him.
